As someone who has gone through their fair share of dental work (hello braces!), teeth have a huge impact on me. I find they are the first thing I look at when I meet someone new. I always try and take super good care of my teeth because I never want to be in that dental office chair for longer than I have to be, but, my love of coffee dates usually catches up with me and I’m constantly looking for a product to remove these coffee stains. I’ve tried using teeth whitening toothpaste and other whitening products, but I find it difficult to see the results I’m looking for. When Smile Brilliant asked me to test out their product I jumped on the chance to try it out!
When the package arrived I was so excited to try it out that I wanted to send back the impressions asap! It was a super simple and quick process and even though I was nervous that I wouldn’t do it correctly, Smile Brilliant gives you the option to send you more if you screw up. The custom fitted trays really were what enticed me to try out this at home teeth whitening rather than others; everyone’s teeth are so different, how can you really get the best results without something made for your smile?! I love that the whitening product don’t seep out of the trays like what happens whenever I use strip whitener. I can feel it working better!
During the whitening process, it was hard to find the time to put the trays in for 3 hours as I’m always on the go. But I love the fact that you can put them in for anywhere between 15 minutes and 3 hours; it lets you have a ton of flexibility! Smile Brilliant sends you 3 sets of teeth whitening gel and desensitizing gel so if you can do less time on one, I just added some more time to the next one. Personally, I left my trays in for 60 minutes and I found that I didn’t even need the desensitizing gel afterwards. But that being said, I have experienced sensitive teeth before, so I was thankful to have the option to finish the whitening with desensitizing gel; sensitive teeth really take the fun out of all my coffee dates!
The instructions say that you can get 3 whitening sessions out of every tube. I rationed mine a bit more and was able to get more like 5 or 6 from each one. After my initial whitening sessions, I have been keeping up my whitening about every 2 weeks and am super happy with the results!
